Chakra Alignment Meditation In-Person
For adults. Registration required. This is part 1 of a 3-part series.
Please bring your own pillow and blanket.
Adventure into your mind this summer with Chakra meditation! This three-part program explores the mental, emotional, and physical benefits of aligning your body's internal energy through basic mindfulness techniques and guided meditation. Whether you have no previous experience with meditation or have a strong existing practice, chakra alignment is a profound tool to improve your overall wellbeing and explore your Self.
Special Note: This program is taking place in the Friends Room Annex. Please access this space through the outside door at the lower patio of the Library.
About the program:
Chakras are energetic loci - pools in the body where energy naturally flows and gathers. When our internal energy is blocked, we become out of balance, and may experience negative physical and emotional symptoms, i.e. headaches, anger, gastric distress, reduced libido, anxiety, muscle pains, etc. Chakra alignment meditation opens, cleanses, and aligns the energy flow, promoting holistic wellness for mind, body, and spirit in harmony. Each session will build from the previous, introducing expanded techniques for focusing on each individual chakra, however attending the sessions sequentially is not strictly necessary to enjoy the benefits and understand the information presented in latter sessions.
