Zen Meditation In-Person
For adults. Registration required.
Join us this autumn as we explore the mind and the Self through meditation!
Explore the Buddhist technique of zazen - a meditative style with immense potential and surprising complexity despite its simplicity. Zazen meditation teaches presence, patience, focus, discipline, and relaxation simultaneously. The epitome of mindfulness and being in the moment, zazen provides an opportunity for profound personal growth through self-awareness and emotional wellbeing. Participants gain an increased connection to themselves and their surroundings, enhancing intuition and deep listening, and leaving practitioners with a sense of calm and stillness..
This is the third of a three-part meditation series. Through this series, participants will experience guided meditations in the styles of chakra, gaze, and zen, facilitating personal growth, expanding foundational knowledge, and providing an introduction to multiple techniques with the hope of finding the best method for your personal practice. All sessions are beginner-friendly and open to participants of all levels of experience, with benefits for everyone from complete neophytes to practiced meditators. Every style of meditation carries inherent benefits such as relaxation, grounding, and reducing stress and anxiety, while individual techniques further include specific benefits of their own.
Please bring a pillow, yoga mat, and/or blanket.
